Aging and Developmental Disabilities – Call for Abstracts

An OADD Hybrid event

Dates: November 8th and 9th, 2023

Location: Donald Gordon Centre, Kingston Ontario

Aging is having an impact on us all.

The general population overall is aging, Adults with IDD may be facing physical, emotional and cognitive changes as part of the aging process; agencies may be seeing the need for additional specialized training for their employees in order to provide the best quality of care related to aging. These scenarios are becoming more of a reality everyday.

This two-day hybrid event will provide a series of presentations by people working in the field on issues related to Aging and Developmental Disabilities. If you would like to present please fill out our downloadable fillable submission form (see below) and return via email to oadd@oadd.org by June 30th, 2023.

  • Dementia
  • Complex Care needs
  • Death & Dying
  • Bereavement/grieving
  • Other aging related issues

Whether your presentation is related to Direct Support Professionals (DSP) or support to individuals we hope to provide a meaningful opportunity for presenters and participants to address challenging and sensitive topics in a safe environment.

Due to the space available at the DGC a maximum of 3 presenters per session will be allowed.
